Nendoroid Riela Review

Today we’re going to review…

Nendoroid #164:Riela!!!

Riela Marcellis, Number 13, The Grim Ripper, is one of the main characters in Valkyria Chronicles 3: Unrecorded Chronicles. It’s a game for PlayStation Portable that was released January of 2011. Obviously she is a valkerie(just look at those massive spear and shield)

What’s inside the box(6/10)

  • The figure itself
  • Angry faceplate
  • Spear and Shield(and a pair of arms for holding them)
  • Crowbar(and a right arm to hold it) and two pieces of nails
  • Knife(and a right arm to hold it)
  • Right closed fist
  • Left bent leg
  • Magnet stand
  • Manual and another piece of paper that appears to have a code in it. Probably for the game

Each pair of arms is detachable between the sleeve and the wrist. and each sleeve is is angled in a different way. Also having two pieces of that small nails is helpful, because these things are too small they tend to get lost easily. It’s too bad she only comes with two faceplate though.

All I can say is this Nendoroid is probably one you would keep outside the box. Very crispy details on her weapons. Her uniform looks really good close up. Nicely done colors for the hair. Overall a nice display piece. (≧◡≦) ♡

This part of her hair is detachable and movable.

Body... hue~ (*☉౪ ⊙。)

The one on the right collar is Squad 422’s insignia. It’s a little bit off most probably because it was to small for GSC to make a stamp of it.

Altaha Abilia means “Always Ready” in Latin and it’s Squads 422’s motto

The transition of colors of her hair from red to grey is looks really good. ヽ(♡‿♡)ノ

Yummy details! (∩❛ڡ❛∩)

Look at that detail!! (*’∀’人)♥

Oh yeah baby more detail!! ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ)

Articulation (5/10)
First thing to note about Nendoroids with big accessories is they tumble if you didn’t arrange their pose correctly. The articulation of the figure is very limited specially when you use the Valkyrur weapons. The magnet on the stand is also quite weak. The figure will most likely fall if you tried a mid-air pose and let it sit there for a while. (꒪⌓꒪)

Joining together the fist and hand will most likely frustrate you because it keeps on falling off. ಠ_ಠ

Price (8/10)
Her original retail price is 3,333 JPY. I got her for 1,960 PHP. I think the price is quite ok considering the details on the figure.

Overall this Nendoroid is a very nice display piece. The detail on the weapons are very good. Although you might want to avoid hitting it while it’s on display because it will most definitely tumble. This is one of my most favorite Nendoroid so let me bias. lol.  ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ)

  • Very detailed ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ)
  • Captivating looks ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ)
  • Awesome looking ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ)

  • Easy to tumble
  • Limited articulation
  • Annoying shield keeps falling off

And thus, another Nendoroid review concludes.
Thanks for reading and see you on my next post! ☆ミ(o*・ω・)ノ

Hi! Kinda late to answer since It’s been a while since I opened my account. I do still have the Nendoroid in my shelf. If I sent the code I’ll still have access to it right? Haha. I remember playing the game on a ISO copy but I can’t recall if I used.
